Diets are failing in an epic way. Chances are you’ve tried one of the popular diets out there. The Atkins Diet, The South Beach Diet, The Zone Diet, The Blood Type Diet, The Eat Clean Diet, The Alkaline Diet, The Ornish Diet, The Insert Name Here Diet.
You probably lost some weight… for awhile. Did you keep it off? Chances are you didn’t. In fact, chances are you regained it all back and possibly then some. You aren’t alone. Six out of seven people who are overweight are able to successfully lose weight during their lifetime. But 85-95% of them will fail at keeping it off in the long term. If this sounds bad, consider that ⅓-⅔ of those people will add back on more weight than they lost in the first place! If this cycle is repeated it can turn into ‘yo-yo dieting’, quite possibly one of the worst things you can do for your mental and physical health.
Ask anyone and they will tell you that you need to lose weight and keep it off and prevent yo-yo dieting, but no one gives you an idea of HOW to accomplish that. What makes our book different? We discuss WHY diets fail on a physiological, psychological, and sociological level so you can better understand why what you did previously did not work. Then we also detail the MOST IMPORTANT behaviors, methods, and traits for losing weight and KEEPING IT OFF.
This book is for everyone who wants to lose weight and keep it off, especially for those frustrated and hopeless chronic dieters tired of trying all the popular diets only to repeatedly fail. There is still hope to be found in these pages. Please give us the chance to guide you.
There are no workout programs included in this.

This is the best book I read in my life .. thank you
Having been on a diet to lose weight for most of my life - now I am 57 - having done so many different "diets" losing and regaining your ideas will see further dieting and eventual success..a digital analysis at a health retreat in the Gold Coast hinterland (Australia) told me my ideal weight more than 10 years ago and I am still the same weight then as I am today never having reached that ideal which was worked out with a scan with a nurse..which was more than my 20s weight. I enjoyed reading most of it, the balanced view was great, although the calculations were off-putting ie "boring". I just ended up skimming those sections eventually. I enjoyed the macronutrients..as a person with type 1 diabetes since age 3 have to count my carbs, protein to work out what insulin to take for each meal..so this area is easy for me unfortunately. Regaining weight information exceptional including the details on the 5% who don't. These ideal habits are covered. Whilst now retired ..so I can do what I want when..an easy read..no background in science (mine is microbiology, biochemistry and dentistry) is needed. Supplement section interesting. Found the print size too small. My phone allowed me to select Kindle (as I had it installed on my phone) to view it but this didn't help with the size as having to resize each page was a nuisance. But I always make a summary of what I read if I find it useful. And so I have done that listing the number of pages, authors and not yet the copyright year..must have missed that will have another look at the pdf to find it hopefully as the date is important as time can change the value of the information provided. Thank you for all your work it is very much appreciated.
Great book! Very educational and easy to understand!
The book is awesome, explicit, easy to read and most important, focus the content in science and common sense. If you are a person who likes to read nutrition and fitness books, this one is perfect for it.
How do you sell a $50 kindle book that isn't compatible with Kindle? It's just a pdf so I can't adjust the text size. Reached out to Layne's team and they tried but were unable to help so I am just out the $50. When you are charging this much for an electronic copy of a book you should invest the money to get the tech right.
